Alternatively, retailers like Battery World, and supermarkets like Aldi also recycle, or responsibly dispose of dead batteries. For St John Park residents, common household problem wastes including paint, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, motor oils and other oils, car batteries, smoke detectors, fluoro globes and tubes can be dropped off at the Recycling Drop Off Centre located on corner of Davis and Widemere roads, Wetherill Park. This centre is open on Saturdays from 8am to 3:30pm, excluding public holidays and for Fairfield City Council residents only.
